About the Founder

A bit about me and why I built Website Valuation Tool

Andy Black, founder of Website Valuation Tool

I’m Andy Black, the founder of Website Valuation Tool. I’m based in the UK, although I love to travel and have spent a lot of time over the past few years living in Bali and exploring different parts of Europe. For me, building useful tools and seeing people genuinely benefit from them is what makes the work enjoyable and worthwhile.

I’ve been involved in website and software development since around 2005. During that time I’ve built and launched several SaaS products, and through my own work as both a creator and an affiliate marketer I’ve sold millions of dollars worth of software. What I’ve always enjoyed most is creating things that solve real problems and getting them into the hands of people who can actually use them, without unnecessary barriers or friction.

I built Website Valuation Tool because most of the existing options felt far too basic. Many of them give blanket valuations that ignore the things that really influence a website’s value, such as traffic quality, business risk, transferability, and how the site actually operates behind the scenes. I wanted something that looked at the bigger picture and gave people a far more realistic estimate.

Another important goal was keeping the tool completely free and private. There’s no sign up, no email required, and no hidden catches. Any information entered into the tool stays in your browser and is never stored on our servers. That’s the kind of tool I prefer using myself, so that’s exactly how I built it.

My hope is that people find genuine value in it and use it whenever they want a quick, realistic estimate of what a website or online business might be worth. Whether you’re thinking about selling, comparing opportunities, or simply curious, the goal is to make website valuation fast, simple, and friction free.

If that sounds useful, feel free to give the tool a try.
